Carnival cruisers from New Orleans

Hi all, I posted a question regarding PCR test's post debarkation at New Orleans. The post was moved to "Gulf Ports," so I guess not many folks saw it.

My question was Rapid PCR test's at New Orleans after docking on Dec 9th. We were prepared to spend an post cruise night in NO hotel in addition to a pre-cruise night, but the below cost is high.

After numerous e-mails, calls and searches,  here is what I have found so far, if anyone can confirm alternate options, I would be grateful.

NO CVS nor Walgreens offer RT-PCR test's, Several clinics offer for residents and current customers only.

NOLADoc called back today with the following options;

• Health tech to visit your hotel room before 11:30 AM to get results later in day at a cost of $400.00 USD per person, alternatively, drive to their office where a technician will come out and swab everyone in the vehicle at a cost of $300 USD per person.

Being a limited cruise port, there are not a lot of Rapid Test PCR options for Canadians, there are o several offering 48-72 hour results.

If anyone has found other options, please advise

You might want to spend a bit more time with Google. While not inexpensive, this New Orleans testing facility provides PCR tests in under 4 hours for $195 and was at the top of my search results:

I too have been searching for PCR options in NOLA for Sunday December 12th, the link for gulfsouthlabs was not in my search results for NOLA, for whatever reason.   

They do not do tests on Sunday, which is when my ship ports in NOLA, I fly out on a Monday.  

 

Looking for options as well.
