Carnival Pride 9/12 Sailing - first cruise out of Baltimore in 18 months

You know, I love the nostalgic look of the Pride with the oversized portholes and heavy brass hardware.  I also love the tribute to European art and history.  So what if there are only 2 pay restaurants on the ship.  So what if the casino is extra smoky (ok, in all honesty I HATE that).  So what if my experience will pale in comparison to all these wonderful Mardi Gras cruises.  I went to CVS at lunchtime today with my daughter and less than 30 minutes later we both had our digital certificates stamped NEGATIVE!  The anxiety is finally over and the fun begins.  Who's going?  Like everyone, I'm so happy to be cruising again!

We have been on the Pride 10 times, it is our favorite ship.  It isn't as large as most ships, but believe the Spirit class has the highest space ratio (41:1) in the fleet.  I wish they added the Dive-in movies to the Legend during drydock.

We missed the excitement by one week!  Booked the September 5 cruise instead.  But we will be driving by our favorite ship on 95S today at the Fort McHenry Tunnel.  Can't wait until Halloween for our first 14 day, when she repositions to Tampa.

Enjoy, Intrepid, enjoy!

I'm right behind you on 9/19. Also my favorite ship. I just had to get a cruise in before she heads to Tampa.

I'll try to leave some of the Grey Goose La Poire and St. Germain for you, but can't make any promises...  😁 🏴‍☠️

If you're gonna talk like a pirate, at least wear a eyepatch or something? Have a great cruise. You've waited long enough!

Too bad that nostalgic look had to be desecrated when they covered up David's "privates"!! Oh well..at least the real deal in Italy stands unchanged!

Maitre d' Ken Byrne is back I hear.  He and his team in the MDR do a wonderful job!  He will be missed when the Legend takes over in Baltimore.  He told us the Pride is his favorite ship.

I wish Baltimore had a port cam.  Stay safe and enjoy your cruise!
