Information on booking NCL specialty dining

I am booked on NCL Encore on January 30 out of Miami. My accommodations gave me a chance to book specialty dining at 125 days out instead of 120.  So at midnight on day 125 out, I logged into the NCL app, and sure enough all specialty restaurants were available to book. I chose each of the four restaurants, no. of guests, seating time and added each to my cart.  However, when reviewing cart, I was told there was nothing in my cart. After trying again twice, I called customer service. I was told that as of the restart,  dining reservations were offered only 21 days out- as I had read on Cruise Critic concerning the Alaska restart. Unfortunate, but OK.  But, lo and behold, this morning I woke up to an automated email from NCL  confirming all four meal reservations in my requested restaurants just as I had entered them on the app.  So quite the opposite of what I was told by CS. So go ahead and try. It might work.  One other note, the MDRs did say too early to book??? Happy cruising!
