Port Canaveral -- Luggage Porters for Disembarkation

When we disembarked Allure of the Seas after our August 22, 2021 cruise, there was a shortage of luggage porters.  We were told that the Port was experiencing a shortage of porter employees.  I think this may have been caused by the extra Federal Unemployment Benefit of $300 -- it may have been more cost effective to collect unemployment and not work.

Since our cruise, Florida has rescinded this extra $300 federal employment benefit.  For cruises disembarking at Port Canaveral, are there now more porters?

We are cruising again at the end of October.

My guess is that there will be more Porters.  Why?  There will be more cruise activity in late October from Port Canaveral than there was in August.

If a shortage of Porters remains, just be patient.  Someone will be available to help you eventually.
