soloadventurer Posted October 4, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2021 My patience is wearing thin with MSC. Due to board tomorrow in the space of a few weeks my boarding time has gone from 13.00 to 1700. Then yesterday it's gone to 16.00hrs. Seriously MSC how do you expect guests to arrange travel arrangements.
hamrag Posted October 4, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2021 I'd say having 3 different times to choose from is a good arrangement! 😉
Rhea98 Posted October 4, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2021 I agree with hamrag, but thanks for reporting your concern. It made me smile as those of us on Seashore TA would be delighted to have a half a dozen boarding times assigned to each of us--or simply just knowing WTH is happening with our cruise. Seriously, I haven't read about anyone made to wait outside for arriving at the wrong time. Maybe it's happened; maybe it's been reported. Have a great cruise! 🛥️

I've been following your rollcall, it's outrageous the lack of clarity and communication for that repositioning cruise. My interest in yours is because we have similar albeit no USA port....it's Seaview, from Barcelona 17th November into the Antilles and South Caribbean and the main boarding boards from there are Martinique and Guadeloupe weekly, and Barbados fortnightly.

Rather like a daytime drama: As the Seashore Turns or Days of our Cruise Changes. Tune in tomorrow to find the next spell-binding happenings. It's frustrating, to say the least. I did look at the Seaview repo as getting off in Fort de France wouldn't be too much of a journey home. At the time I was looking, it was still possible to change our flight to BCN (openings/same $), but I can't do anything until we know. I'd prefer the cruise we signed up for. We have purposely held off booking flights, so if it goes they'll be booked late. The pricing, and availability hasn't fluctuated much so hopefully that continues. We also booked the 7 night cruise following arrival in Fort de France, so wouldn't be flying back till 11th December which would be 24 days after embarking, and it's the return flight which is key as Barcelona is so easy from the UK.
KINGBOBOFTHENORTH Posted October 4, 2021 #7 Share Posted October 4, 2021 We took a Baltic cruise on MSC last month, sailing from Kiel, Germany. We arrived that day from Amsterdam via train. We had been assigned two different embarkation times. When we arrived at the Kiel train station, we bought tickets on the MSC bus which took us to the cruise terminal. No one ever looked at our embarkation time. I think they're just trying to spread-out arrivals which is great for those arriving by private car but not great for those flying in. Just get there when you get there.
