Shopping/Bars/Walking

Are there any shops or craft markets close to the port? How about bars/restaurants? Are there any historic structures/picturesque areas within walking distance of the port? Lots of questions I know, but I really appreciate everyone's input.

Yes, when you dock in Bonaire there are shops right there in port. There was also a local craft type market the 2 times we have been there a short walk away.

Of course neither I nor anybody else can guarantee anything, yet Bonaire has a reputation of being safe.
