Chip AZ Posted February 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2006 If your booked for a cabin that obviously holds two as a single. How hard is it to bring someone else? This ship is going to be full also.
spongerob Posted February 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2006 I doubt it would be hard at all. You'd have to pay taxes and port fees for the second person. Other than that, there's no reason that it would be a problem at all.
Logie Posted February 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2006 You may also have to pay the diffferene in price if you did not pay 200% of the original posted fare.
Rare Coral Posted February 19, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2006 You can also change the booking now from single to double by marking the second person as "TBA". This way, Princess knows there will be a second person, they just don't know the name. You will just need to specify the name before final payment. I don't think you will have any problems. Tinknock50 Posted February 19, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2006 You may also have to pay the diffferene in price if you did not pay 200% of the original posted fare. When I have done this with Holland America, I was charged whatever rate the double was at the time of booking. It didn't matter if the price went up later on that cabin. I think it is great the way you did it.....it is much more difficult to switch to a single from a double than a double to a single. If Princess works the same way, it should be very easy to add someone.
nylaker Posted February 19, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2006 I just added another person a few weeks ago. That was after final payment had been made. All I had to pay was for taxes and port charges. Of course, the air also. This was very easy to do. TA did it all. :)
Cruise38 Posted February 19, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2006 As Lynn stated it depends on the original price. The rule of thumb for single rates is 160% plus 100.00 for inside and outside and 200% for balcony and above. An exception is that the deluxe outside Cat CC or sometimes D charge 200% also.
