Early December cruising from Tampa to Costa Maya....Long pants needed?

It's been so long since we cruised that I can't remember what clothes to bring.

I seem to remember cruising from Ft. Lauderdale one year and it was really chilly onboard, especially in the evening, until we got further down to the Caribbean ports, thinking the first full day on the ship.

We're only going from Tampa to Costa Maya and back on a short cruise.  Of course, this FL girl will always bring a sweater, but wondering if I need long pants for evenings outside the ship.   I checked the temperatures, but the wind on the ship especially in the evening really makes a big difference.

Really hard to tell when it comes to weather...but it is always possible to have a cold spell in Tampa in Dec. This morning was cool in the 50's. I have sailed out of tampa in the winter where it was in the 30's.
