Flights by Celebrity changes to UK flights

Been informed that Virgin wont be flying to Atlanta out of Manchester so our booked routing to Fort Lauderdale via Atlanta which came in at a great price wont be going ahead next April. Celebrity are looking for an alternative but we are going business and the flights showing on the website right now are not only longer more inconvenient routing and way more expensive! We usually book our own flights , so....

Has anyone got any experience of this type of situation? Will Celebrity hold their price and offer us alternatives?

Looking for some positive reassurance .....can you help?

You may well be entitled to alternative routing at no extra cost under EC261 rules. I would strongly advise going onto Flyertalk.com and drilling down to find the Virgin Atlantic section and post a question about EC261 and cancellation. There are sime very well informed subscribers who will definitely help. This may get you there https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/virgin-atlantic-airways-flying-club-506/ Otherwise, try “head for points dot dom” and look for the daily blog and post your questions there. You will definitely get accurate advice on your options. The main thing is not to accept any re-routing or refund until you have worked out what you want to do. Good luck

I did my research. As I read it the airline have rescheduled so need to organise me replacement flights. Celebrity air role is to assist them in doing that. I have emailed them and no response as yet. I have reached out to the airline who are looking into it. I'll keep you posted on how I get on.

It will also depend if your ticket has been issued or Celebrity were just holding a flight reservation. The airline will not usually deal with you directly if this is booked by an agent unless it is an emergency.

All sorted!!

We have re scheduled to fly out same route a day earlier! We will just HAVE to spend an extra day pre cruise in Fort Lauderdale. Of course it will cost us more but I'm not complaining!
