Athens & Piraeus Open Air Sightseeing Tour

I will post on the Greece page as well, but has anyone done the bus tour in Athens? My question is whether you just drive by acropolis and sites or if you get out to see those things? I don't want to miss getting to go up onto the acropolis.

Read the description.  If it does not specify climbing the Acropolis, it does not.

Last month I was in Athens and did a Hop on Hop off tour from the pier.  If you have a limited amount of time the open air bus tour gives a nice overview of Athens and is very scenic. There are lots of stops that you can get off and explore including the park below the Acropolis.  We had already been to the Acropolis on our own and stood in line for an hour to get tickets.  It is a long walk up and needs a lot of time to explore.  If you don't have time to do that you can get some nice pictures from below just to say you saw it!
