Rare Hlitner Posted November 19, 2021 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2021 It is actually a very good question as some other lines do include transfers. Princess might offer a transfer for an additional cost and it would then be an option on your cruise personalizer (or Medallion app if it works). But keep in mind that paying for a cruise line transfer is often not a particularly good deal. In many ports it is less costly and more efficient to just use a local transfer option such as a taxi or Uber. This is especially true in Ft Lauderdale/Port Everglades as well as many European ports. I still shake my head at folks who pay for cruise lines transfers from Port Everglades to FLL or even MIA. You get on your bus and then sit and wait for the bus to fill up and the luggage to be loaded. You then go off to the nearby airport where you are taken to a common drop site which may be some distance from the terminal from where you get your flight. But while you are still sitting on that bus at the port (waiting for it to leave) we and many others are hopping in a taxi (for less money then your transfer) and will likely be at the correct terminal at FLL before your bus even closes it's door. So we suggest that folks do a little homework before they pay a cruise line for transfers. You can usually get good info right here on CC by simply asking. Rare donswife Posted November 19, 2021 #7 Share Posted November 19, 2021 We did EZ air and Princess transfers last time as we were flying in day of cruise and out day of disembarkation. That just made it a seamless experience for us, and Princess was responsible for getting us home if anything went wrong. We were picked up and dropped off at the correct terminal (at LAX).
Moondogy Posted November 21, 2021 Author #8 Share Posted November 21, 2021 Thanks again all. We usually sail out of port everglades and just drive and park. Next cruise is out of Seattle so looking into which will be better, transfers or other.
