Barbados in November

What is the best way to go to see Barbados cheaply?

We were in Barbados this past november. We didn't know in advance what we wanted to do so we booked a ship excursion. We did the Harrison Cave one and really enjoyed it. While we were on that we talked to the tour guide and asked him what a good beach was to go to. There was another couple on the tour that wanted to go to a beach too. After we got back to the ship we changed and then met up with the other couple and caught a cab to the hotel/beach. We had arranged with the driver to pick us up too and he was there right on time. We didn't have a problem. It was $5.00 per person each way.

We went to Barbados last Dec on the Legend. We loved it there. We took a cab downtown and then walked around and walked to a beautiful free beach.
