Anyone Use California.gov Immunization App to check in at Long Beach?

Hi - I searched without luck. Has anyone lost their original card and downloaded the California Immunization Record app showing their name, D.O.B. and what dose of vaccines they received and the date with the QR code to check in for a Carnival cruise from Long Beach? I'm hearing different things and was told that I need the original or a certified copy of the original with a government seal on it. The app from Cal.gov lists all my vaccine information correctly but I've been told this isn't good enough and some say it's fine to use at Long Beach, Ca. for the Carnival cruises from there. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has successfully used the app to check in at Long Beach. Thank you
