Number of passengers booked on a sailing

From what I've seen posted here, the only announcement is onboard, after sailing. Any official announcement would be from the Captain, John Heald, or the Cruise Director. Guests may hear from stewards, bartenders and crew onboard with some degree of accuracy.

You used to be able to do a mock booking and get a rough idea of cabin availability .  Not sure with varying limited capacity on ships if you can do that any more.  Obviously if you try to do a mock booking and you can't on the website, they may be close to the capacity limits.  But as mondello said, you won't know the ctual count until it's announced on the ship .
