question re sodas and other drinks

I'm traveling on the NCL Sun March 18 for my first cruise as an adult (I went on a seven-day Holland America cruise of Alaska with my family when I was a kid). So, please pardon this first-time-cruiser question.

I have a pretty strong addiction to diet soda, which I plan to curtail when on the boat. I know sodas on the NCL ships cost money -- I'm assuming this is at all times (meals and snacks) -- but I'm curious if the only free alternative is water, coffee and hot tea? Is iced tea free at meals? What kind of drinks are available at the casual buffets?

Thanks,

Jen.

I would guess that NCL has a soda card the same as most of the other major cruise lines now. Probably in the $30 range for a week of unlimited fountain soda. Some lines vary on what they offer for free to drink. Some have lemonade, ice tea, coffee. You might try posting on the NCL board for a more specific answer in regards to your particular ship.
