Atlantic Seabreeze Posted February 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Hi, Cruising Regal Princess 3/22/06. :) We arrive Santiago from Miami that morning  and are looking for transportation alternatives  to Valparaiso. PCL offers bus transfers but we thought we could leave as soon as we clear customs in the morning and have an opportunity to see a little of Valparaiso rather than wait for the PCL bus which will probably depart Santiago around lunch time and then each 1/2 hour or so. Anyone out there know if taxis are available? Any idea of what the cost would be? Other suggestions?? Interested in sharing a transfer?? Looking forward to your input. jeanb Posted February 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Try turismonuevomundo.cl - they give a tour of santiago/valparaiso and Vina del Mar along with the transfer. We are using them in Dec. Also portcompass.com has similar tours with transfer.
Aussie Gal Posted February 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2006 We had a great company which another couple and we used when disembarking from the Regal Princess on 29th January. We were first shown around Valpariso, then we went to Vina del Mar, visited a winery and finally a city tour of Santiago and then dropped off at our various hotels. It cost us around $60US per person and we bought our own lunch. We were picked up at 9am and dropped off at our hotel around 5.30pm. A great day. The website is: http://www.enaturchile.com/enatur_english/index.html We also used this firm for our transfers to the airport next morning. No money was exchanged until we were dropped off at our hotels. Jennie
