Anyone on Edge now?

Things are going just fine with the exception of the following:

1. San Juan has been cancelled due to PR Covid spikes and new entry regulations (apparently).

2. Stream Xcelerate is complete dog poo and worthless since everyone has free wifi now

The ship sails at half capacity, next weeks sailing a little less.

I have been told that the onboard shopping is terrible and very expensive. Can we still get our duty free liquor and tobacco?

The liquor and tobacco shop is similar to any other. The souvenir shop is expensive and, IMHO, doesn't have a great selection.

Here are some whiskey/scotch/bourbon liquor prices from early November:

I sailed on Edge in September, Apex at Thanksgiving and on Edge again this week.  The overall experience has been similar with very few changes other than dropping PR this trip, but we also dropped Costa Maya in September for similar concerns.  WiFi was much better with fewer people of the September sailing.  As long as you are willing to “go with the flow” with a port change, I think you’ll have a wonderful trip.  No regrets at all sailing this week!

Thanks for the info….my friend and I enjoy sea days so the ports aren’t as important as enjoying the ship. Hoping that things will calm down Covid wise by early Feb. Based on what I’m hearing, sounds like Celebrity is taking a more conservative approach and not filling their ships to capacity. Just one more reason I enjoy sailing Celebrity over the other lines. My friend and I decided we’ll take a wait and see attitude.

I can confirm this. I was looking to buy a few things and compared to Eclipse and Millennium there is really no decent shopping onboard Edge. Weird... I wonder if X started to consider stocking their shops as a loss maker?
