Do special dining reservations open up when the cruise starts?

My mom and I will be on the Apex next month. We had hoped to eat at Eden one night, but nothing has been available for weeks. We are not in a suite or using a dining package. Does the ship hold back some reservations? Hoping something opens up.

Relax.  First of all, have you seen the menu for Eden on the Apex?  It is different than the Eden on the Edge.  The Edge is a little more "out of the box" with an A or B choice for each course.  The Apex is more traditional and has more choices for each course.  Once you get on board, go to the venue and make your reservations.  Enjoy

Moot point. The travel agent who made reservations for the group we're traveling with decided it was best to cancel.
