Renting a Car after the cruise

We'll be finishing a Carnival cruise in Miami on Friday, March 10, and staying at the Miami Intercontinental, two miles from the docks, for two days. Can we rent a car at the Cruise Docks? Or should we plan on taking a shuttle to the airport to pick up a car? Thanks!

You can't rent a car at the pier. The shuttles are reasonably convenient.

I just spoke with this company and they do not bring cars to the port or provide a shuttle to their place. They must have changed their policy.

 

Is there another company that may provide that service?

The easiest, fastest way without the hassle of going to MIA is the local downtown Miami Avis office. It's less then a mile from the port and cab fares would be less then $10. Money well spent for time saved. ;)
