Emmamc Posted January 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2022 Hello, I really need some help! I was on the Encore over Christmas, their beatles tribute bands, as they have multiple on different ships I'm wondering A. Do ncl create them or do they hire existing tribute bands. And B. I'm trying to find out any info about the particular existing line up on the encore right now. They said they were 'THE BEATLES INVASION' which indicates they may have been an already existing band but I can't find any information on them anywhere. This bunch together are fantastic and hoping anyone can help! Thank you
VineyardsGal Posted January 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2022 Hi. I too am trying to find the Beatles band on the Joy we saw in December. Their name was The Beatles Story. They were from Italy. They were great!
VineyardsGal Posted January 4, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2022 I just found them. I was looking at photos from our cruise and they played the first night in the main theater. Their website info was on the backdrop behind them as they played. www.beatlestorylive.com.
roger001 Posted January 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2022 (edited) Saw the group playing on the Bliss 3 weeks ago. They were fun to watch. However, I don't think they put a huge effort into their shows. Might be because it is the same thing night after night. https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipOJACwLOEjf7PiQgFVFMK02ljnl7iLpP_V38xk https://photos.app.goo.gl/PULSJMNazXSrBn6T7 Edited January 4, 2022 by roger001
Emmamc Posted January 4, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted January 4, 2022 Thanks guys, unfortunately none of these are the same guys! But thank you for your efforts!
Viajera7 Posted January 6, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2022 I think there are different versions of these Beatles in different ships. The ones that I saw in December are The EPIC Beatles and they perform the early hits. From the picture that VineyardGal posted those Beatles probably performed the hits at the end of them as a band. Mabley Posted January 9, 2022 #8 Share Posted January 9, 2022 Hello. I know the guys you are talking about in the pictures. What would you like to know about this line up?
Amango Posted April 11, 2022 #9 Share Posted April 11, 2022 (edited) Hey! I know it’s been a long time since you posted this, so not sure if you’d still like the answer but each position is individually auditioned for and ncl puts together the groups. They are not a group outside of the ships and generally work 3 month contracts so you see the group change from time to time! UKstages Posted April 12, 2022 #10 Share Posted April 12, 2022 on the bliss in 2019, "paul" couldn't sing. i would have liked to have seen his audition. can it really be said you have a beatles tribute band if paul can't sing?
Patchunky Posted May 16, 2022 #11 Share Posted May 16, 2022 Just returned from a cruise on the epic and really enjoyed the beatles tribute act...saw every show, the sound was great and the mannerisms but Paul McCartney lookalike played RIGHT HANDED..it just doesn't look right....still I did see the real thing in 1963!.......Thank you for the info about how ncl put the groups together.....oh and yes I'm a bass player of over 50 years gigging.
