Lindsay0405 Posted January 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2022 Does anyone have any tricks for getting thru to the Resolutions Department? I have been on the phone with Carnival for 3 hours 16 minutes so far. Was on the phone with a customer service girl trying to do a room upgrade on one of our rooms and her system went down and everything froze and completely messed up. She said I would have to speak to the resolutions department and that she would transfer me. That was about 45 minutes ago. But I just got a "cancellation" for one of my kids out of one of the rooms. No cancellation for anyone else. I'm starting to panic. We leave Saturday.
Top_of_the_Cube Posted January 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2022 Carnival reports that they are under-staffed. They acknowledge the issues with long waits on the phone and even the hang-ups. Don't think there is any quick solution or tricks to getting through, other than some report that calling as soon as the lines open in the morning may get you connected faster. I have read suggestions about switching to a Personal Vacation Planner (PVP), a kind of travel agent tied directly to Carnival. I have never used one, so can't give any help with that, but maybe there might be a member who can provide additional information on how to switch, or maybe let us know that this is not viable. bowlinmoe Posted January 6, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2022 I've been trying to get through Carnival for several days (many hours on hold) with no luck. We have cruise deposit that we would like to change to a different cruise and they keep saying we need to talk yo the casino department due to the promo used but every time we ate transfered to them, they never pick up. I'm at my wits end. Tempted to just cancel and let Carnival keep my $200...in exchange for never cruising with them again. It's ridiculous. Almost every business in the US is understaffed. At the very least, they should be replying to emails within a couple days if customers can't get through over the phone.
