  1. I heard they throw you overboard if they suspect any card counting. I don't think that's correct, though.
  2. Good posting! My wife and I will be on the Liberty of the Seas cruise departing 11/24.
  3. Thinking about doing this short cruise over Thanksgiving weekend this year. Anyone have a recent compass for this three day cruise?
  4. Looks like another positive day for Carnival stock... I sold my 103 shares this morning (after buying in May) for a small $34.00 profit (plus the $100 onboard credit I received on the cruise I just came back on). It's a great deal! I will be doing this again on whatever cruise line I go on next.
  5. Carry Twizzlers and make your own!
  6. Not worth playing for a free cruise. In the long run, your losses will exceed the cost of the free cruise.
  7. Anyone have recent Funtimes for the Celebration? Looking for April 2023, if possible.
  8. I’m surprised they stopped the cruise desk on Carnival. I would have thought it would be a great way for them to sell a ton of cruises.
  9. Will any certified financial planner make up the difference if the portfolio they put together for you dropped in value? Maybe Elon Musk can send us money if we invest in Tesla and it drops? C'mon.
  10. I'm not sure if you're allowed to post links here but FWIW, when you look up the Carnival ticker symbol on MSN money, they have it listed as a BUY based on 21 analysts. The twelve month price target is $11.93/share.
  11. So I take it you're not very optimistic on the future of the stock... That being said, your analysis doesn't include that you can get the on board credit multiple times in the same year if you take multiple cruises. AND you can sell the stock right after your cruise if you like. It's not like you have to hold it for certain period of time. I recently bought for my May cruise. I could sell at the end of May and be done with it if I choose.
  12. Oh man, that's a bummer! I'm going on the Celebration in a couple weeks and was hoping to play some poker. Does anyone know what the minimum bet was on the table games? Such as 3 card poker?
  13. The current share price is down to $9.075. 100 shares would be $907.50. Getting the $100 credit (assuming 7 day cruise) is a guaranteed return of over 10%. Great time to buy.
  14. Anyone know if there's a table on the Celebration? I'm more interested in a cash game instead of a tournament.
  15. I usually order a 4 pack of beer along with the cooler delivered to the room on day 1. I think it's $40 or so. It's nice to have a few beers for the fridge right away. I usually order water as well.
  16. My wife and I love it but it’s understandable everyone won’t. That’s why they offer other desserts.
  17. Maybe get beers delivered to the room ahead of time to get around this? I would guess they don’t factor them into the 15 daily limit.
  18. What are the best places to eat on depart day? Can you make reservations for the roller coaster with the Carnival app? Is this only available when the cruise starts? What are the current shows? What nights are elegant nights for the current eastern Caribbean cruise itinerary and are lobster tails offered both elegant nights in the main dining room? For the elegant nights, are guys allowed in khakis and button up shirts? (Trying to avoid suit/tux) If anyone has current Funtimes saved, please post them. Thank you!
  19. When we’re the formal nights? Was lobster available both of these nights in the main dining room? As far as what people wore on formal nights, did you notice several people just in khakis/button up shirt or were the vast majority done up in tuxes/suits?
  20. It was a piece of cake buying the shares and then getting the onboard credit. Carnival was fast in the turnaround. It’s really a no brainer to do this.
  21. The coin pusher machine is where the REAL money’s at. Cha-Ching.
  22. I forget…for the Carnival casinos, do you get a separate players card for the casino? Or do you just use your normal sail away card so can accumulate points?
  23. Thanks. I was able too book my reservation yesterday. It was so weird. I was originally trying via the Carnival website on my PC compute so I thought "maybe I'll be able to do this from the Carnival app on my phone?". So after downloading the app and logging in, the app indicated that I couldn't make reservations via the app (maybe because it's prior to the cruise?) but it directed me to the Carnival website via my phone browser. So I did that and it worked! I don't know why it would show up on the Carnival website with my phone browser but not on the Carnival website when I was viewing it with my desktop PC.
