Interesting. We may have to consider that for March. I'm guessing when you order a drink you just tell them you're prime so it doesn't pull from your diamond drinks?

I remember giving the bartender both my room key and players card when ordering. We don’t remember what they did when we ordered from a server though. The players card was in the slot machine so the server couldn’t take it with him. Maybe they gave my wife a drink card.. sorry don’t remember. We didn’t have a drink package to worry about. You might want to talk to the Casino Royal Desk or a host to make sure.

Welcome to an extremely windy day at Coco Cay. We started docking around 3 this morning and from the waves, the ship has been shaking like crazy since. Even docked, we still have a ton of movement and vibration.

Off in the distance is vision, another ship, and Odyssey which is supposed to be docked with us. They were backing in earlier and must have called it off due to wind and are just sitting out a few hundred yards now.

Based on some passengers on the starboard side of the ship, they said we did a crew swap at about 4am this morning with Vision (as expected). The numbers they said based on their count was us gaining 80 back and 163 going to Vision. Again, just what another person said. We're on Port sort so not able to see any of that.

Captain just made the announcement as of right now we aren't able to get off the ship because the waves are crashing over the pier. Winds likely aren't dying down until tonight. He said we're just going to sit here for a bit and we'll get another update in a few hours

Docked at Coco Cay but high winds. Captain just announced currently too dangerous to operate and go ashore.  Are going to wait a bit and reassess around 9.   Waves breaking over pier.   So close but so far away from a perfect day at Coco Cay.

Solarium is the only tolerable place outside right now.. And even that is iffy with the wind and cool temp, but we're parked here for at least the time being. They said we can expect another update around 9 or so. My guess is that we'll start heading to Nassau. It's a weird feeling sitting at the dock but feeling the waves and the vibration from the thrusters to keep us near the dock

Its amazing how rough it can get even on a sunny day.  A few years ago my wife and I were on Mariner and we had to "divert" around the back of the Bahama islands to avoid what they called the "big stuff"

Meanwhile all decks were closed, barf bags dispatched and you could look at the oil tanker in the distance with the waves hitting the bow and spraying halfway to the back of their ship.  Thank god for the stabiliser technology.

I cant imagine what they considered "the big stuff"

It appears our balcony door is locked. We are on the wind side. Does anyone know if they have electronic locks on balcony doors that can be controlled in cases like this?

We're on Port side and I was able to open ours this morning. We've had issues with ours all week and just have to pull like hell sometimes because it feels locked but it eventually opened each time.

Cant even imagine what it would be like in a hurricane there.

You cant make this stuff up during these trying times.  Hang in there!!  Hopefully the Casino Gods make things up to you!!!

This isn’t uncommon weather in January.  Probably one of the worst months to cruise imo due to either relatively cold weather or relatively rougher seas.

There’s a small manual lock mechanism on the sliding door frame that will/can lock your slider. It’s a push type lever.

Checked that a few times. Feels like it is hitting something just like as if that lock was in place.

Just had our room steward come in and just as you said, he gave it a strong yank and it opened. Was fine until this morning.

For whatever reason, this has been the most difficult to open balcony door we've ever had. I swear people 4 decks below should be able to hear me when I open it lol.

Our room Steward is going to report it to maintenance but I am sure nothing will be done this cruise.

There is an unlocking mechanism in the bottom drawer of the desk.

Agree. Did one in Jan from New York to The Bahamas. Sailed past a snowstorm by the Atlantic coast. It was like 30F or -1C outside and with wind driven snow blowing sideway. Ship was rocking. Our balcony window was frozen. Also the shorter day is not fun. Much less time to enjoy the sun.
Never sail in dead of winter again.
