Appetizers in main dining room and later dinner at Chops with UDP?

Just boarded brilliance 😁  We walked past the main dining room menu board. I had forgotten  about the Escargot when I purchased the unlimited specialty dinner package. We are assigned first seating in the main dining room. Would it be possible to go to the main dining room at 5:30 and just have an appetizer then go to Chops at our reservation time(8:30)?

or do we only get one or the other?

You can do that. BTW When I was just on brilliance escargot was on the menu every night. Likely is on your sailing.

I bet if you asked at the specialty restaurant, maybe in advance, they would get it for you.

We sailed on Jewel over Christmas. At Giovanni's, we asked the waiter if we could get the escargot in addition to our Giovanni's appetizers. 10 minutes later, we were bathed in the glorious butter and escargot heaven!

We had the UDP as well!

Did you use the UDP for lunches at specialty dining? How about a la carte dining?

We have done exactly that and specifically for the escargot. 

 

I'll remember to ask if we can get some in specialty dining sometime!

Set up a request with the maitre 'd as you go in the first night.  Ask for a quiet table near the door, and for escargot every night.  They will have it waiting for you as you arrive.  (Be sure to tip for the special request).

On Jewel there were only three options (Izumi, Giovanni’s, and Chops). We did Izumi twice for lunch and Giovanni’s once (3 sea days). Since it was Xmas, they had excluded Chops and Giovanni’s for Xmas eve and Xmas day (they had “holiday dinners”) so we had Izumi those nights. The other nights we split between Chops and Giovanni’s.
