llgator Posted January 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2022 Looking at the cheeky corner suites, but would like to be able to sit in the sun with such a large balcony. Does anyone know if one floor is better than another for that? I know on some ships, the balconies on the lower decks aft stick out further so get more sun. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! drewdawg199 Posted January 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2022 it's actually opposite on VV, at least for the aft suites. I think any balconies on the sides of the ship should have decent chance for some sun, but note only the Mega suites and a few of the aft suites have sun loungers, all other balconies just have two small chairs and a side table.
llgator Posted January 14, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Thanks for the info. Maybe with the right angle we may get a little!

We just sailed and had the Cheeky Corner Suite on the Z side (port?) Anyway, at times the sun came onto the balcony maybe about halfway. I kept pulling the lounge chair back out of the sun, but you could do the opposite too. There is a lot of extra open space to move those chairs around. I bet you can catch some sun. llgator Posted January 14, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted January 14, 2022 We have 9011Z I think. The only one left for the 2/13 cruise. I hope so! 21 minutes ago, gcoolie said: We just sailed and had the Cheeky Corner Suite on the Z side (port?) Anyway, at times the sun came onto the balcony maybe about halfway. Rhody135 Posted January 18, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2022 Also back from recent cruise, in Cheeky Corner Suite on deck 9. All of the Cheeky Corner suites have completely covered balconies. My deck furniture included 2 loungers with small table between....and 2 straight-backed chairs with table between. And the hammock, which is just around the corner, on the "side" rather than aft of the balcony. As llgators mentions, there will be sunny times and shady times.
