ECLIPSE sailings cancelled March through 16th April

Disappointed as I was really looking forward to that cruise.  What angers me is they pulled the cruises from their site, and when people called to ask why they lied to them it appears.  With Covid we all must accept changes  but just be honest and upfront about it.  Not too much to ask.

Yep, when the 2 cruises disappeared our TA was assured that they were not going to be cancelled, they had just stopped accepting new bookings.  We are out over US$20,000 for the 2 rooms now and have until the due date on our charge card to get our refund......:-(

We, too, had a sunset veranda booked and paid in full for the April 2nd sailing on Eclipse.  We were notified by our travel company, given the choice of full refund or lift and shift.  We, of course, chose full refund, and were notified it may take 90 days to be processed.

Blame Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Astoria and Seattle for restrictions that nobody can accurately predict when they will end.

Phxaz - why will you be out $20,000?  The money will be refunded to your charge card and then you request a check from the credit card company.  Need to be prepared for anything if you are cruising today.

Eventually.  If it takes 90 days, then there are three months of interest on the unpaid $20K balance that can't be billed back to Celebrity -- a separate issue.

If so ... Gotta get me one of THEM 2% interest cards!   Where do we sign up?

Even simple interest on $20,000 at 10% (not atypical card rate these days) for 3 months (.25 year) is $500.

I know a couple of things I could do with $500.
