CaribbeanCruisers Posted February 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Now that passports will be required for cruising will our passports be stamped in the Caribbean? Not that it's a big deal, I just like the idea of getting a stamp! Happy Cruising, Courtney
chrysalis Posted February 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2006 probably not....if you think about a port like St Maarten, with 5 ships there on a particular day, averaging 2300 pax per ship, I suspect that the authorities do not want to hire people to spend their days just stamping almost 12,000 passports. and, to clarify,...it is not that passports are required for cruising in the Caribbean, they will be required for you to get back into the US....big difference. MichTraveler Posted February 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2006 We did St.Martin in December with Princess and our passports were not stamped. Went to Nassau in October with RCCL and our passports were stamped. Guess it varies. bubbadog: Stamp for the Princess Passport Cruise book or Stamp for the person's travel passport? We collect the Princess stamps in a passport book for each ship we've sailed on.
