Visit from the upgrade fairy!!

I am sailing on the MG in 16 days.  No offers, no surprise upgrades.  I printed out luggage tags and boarding passes this morning, hoping that might be the jinx needed to get an offer!

I just stayed in one earlier this week. Literally my favorite kind of room in the entire ship that almost rivals the Captains suite as it doesn't have issues with heating or cooling when opening a balcony door.

Yeah, I for sure wouldn't consider a regular balcony an upgrade, and really I would choose the Grand suite just because we've never stayed in one.

Found mine there as well. We just upgraded from a Walkway Interior to an Ocean Suite for $336. That will put us all in with Cheers for $1270 for our March 7 Conquest Celebration Cruise. The mock booking was $2500. My DW and I are very excited as this will be our first suite with 20 cruises in.

For fastest upgrade offers, be sure to print your luggage tags in color.  Almost invariably, I'll get contacted by the Upsell Fairy within a day or two of burning through that color ink.  😄

We are  traveling as a group, 5 cabins all together, and we all got upgrade offers for little to no cost.  In fact two of those traveling even got onboard credit when they switched to the new cabins.  You just never know.

We leave next Saturday on Magic and still no offers. Haven't had in offer in 16 cruises. About to give up hope.

We just got a call too! $420 to move from 8B balcony to Grand Suite. We only paid $199/pp for the balcony, so I thought this was a good deal.
