lilaw88 Posted January 20, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted January 20, 2022 WE are booked on the 2/18/22 cruise out of New York. Excursions for Grand Turk are not available. Does this mean the port was removed from the itinerary? Also, we don't get to St. Thomas until day 5 of the cruise. Obviously, that is ore than 72 hours after commencement of travel. Since St. Thomas requires testing within 72 hours, are we skipping that port too?
goldmom Posted January 20, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2022 As of right now, boosters are not required. Where the ship will go is a toss up. For some reason, although Grand Turk has always been on the itinerary none of the sailing dates seem to have had any tour listed for that stop. My guess is that Grand Turk is probably not going to happen. The current Gem cruise as of the moment is substituting Catalini (?) for St Thomas and skipping Grand Turk, the other three stops were still listed. Passengers were advised of the change once they were onboard. My thought is that for the time being port stops will remain fluid and may change at any time before or even during the cruise. Rare mking8288 Posted January 20, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2022 Look here and ask NCL directly - https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/6676/ More below - https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=5872 https://www.travelpulse.com/news/cruise/several-cruise-lines-adding-vaccine-booster-requirements.html A general question that is not easy to answer, depending also on when and where the cruise is sailing to, etc. with the ever-changing advisories and guidance issued by US-CDC and WHO, which the cruise lines followed and/or voluntarily opted in ... and countries abroad set forth as their requirement.
