msteries Posted January 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2022 Delighted to see newest schedule for my cruise on Apex January 29. Of course, all can change again. As I understand it, there is a terminal newer than Amber Cove. Anyone know which is most likely?
Rare vickykay Posted January 20, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2022 Was wondering the same thing.
vkb2751 Posted January 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) Taino Bay is the new terminal. We were there on Jan 3 Apex cruise. Edited January 20, 2022 by vkb2751
Rare vickykay Posted January 20, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2022 Is that in Amber Cove? Thanks!
DogLover Posted January 20, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2022 Amber Cove is owned by Carnival Cruise Corporation. The new port, Taino Bay, will be used by other cruise companies, including Celebrity. It is located south of Amber Cove. Taino Bay is NOT in Amber Cove. The two are mutually exclusive. 1
Rare vickykay Posted January 20, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2022 Thanks. That’s what I thought after I posted.
EatonDoolittle Posted January 20, 2022 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2022 A recent cruiser posted some photos from her stop at Taino Bay over on the Dominican Republic board. It looks nicely done. I'm happy that is seems to be closer to town, to allow for seeing the city and other sights, rather than just staying at the manufactured (Disney - like) port.
