Amber Cove is owned by Carnival Cruise Corporation.

The new port, Taino Bay, will be used by other cruise companies, including Celebrity. It is located south of Amber Cove.

Taino Bay is NOT in Amber Cove. The two are mutually exclusive.

A recent cruiser posted some photos from her stop at Taino Bay over on the Dominican Republic board.

It looks nicely done.

I'm happy that is seems to be closer to town, to allow for seeing the city and other sights, rather than just staying at the manufactured (Disney - like) port.
