Anybody know how HA awards free cruises through their Players Club? Both my son and daughter have received numerous offers but my husband and I have never gotten an offer? We paid for their cruise and spent as much in casino as them LOL.

It’s a bit of a phantom science. It’s based on play not on spend. Slots earn at a rate different than video poker, which is also different from live table games. If you were playing the same amount of time on the same style of machine and making the same wager than in theory you should both get the same offer.

For instance, I gambled $500 on a cruise playing blackjack betting $25-$50 a hand and played 2 hours a night. My wife gambled $500 playing penny slots for 2 hours a night. At the end of the sailing I was up $800, she was up $1000. But I get the offers for free cruises she receives discounts. As I understand it’s because I technically played more than she did meaning I wagered more per hour than she did. Hope that provides some clarity.
