Casino Drink card, casino bar

I am sailing on the bliss for the first time on 2/20.  My wife and I decided not to get the beverage package as she does not drink that much and i can get most of my drinks with my drink card from the casino, so we would not even cover the cost of gratuity for the drink package for the times we would want a drink.  My question is,  Can I use my drink card at the casino bar to get free drinks, or do I always have to get them thru a server while playing (craps is the name of the game for me!).

Faster to go to the bar. If you have a "usual" drink or add-on, tipping the bartender is good, because your drinks may be ready before you get to the front of the line. 

 

We always get a bottle of water with any drink. There have been times when we're walking through the casino and the bartender is waving a bottle of water to us, even if we didn't stop for a drink.

get them at the bar. Always grab a water with it, you can stockpile those in your room, and you can also get redbull/sugar free redbull and some basic espresso drinks

How does one qualify for the drink card? I am cruising from land based casino does that count? Sorry guys for asking all these questions first NCL cruise.

If your booking was made through Casinos at sea, then yes. Everyone over 21 if in your cabin will get one.
