BigMattT Posted February 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2022 I’ve booked my first casino offer through HAL, and the email offer expiration date is now over. However, there are now new $200 cruises showing up when I login to the HAL website. Are there limits on how many free inside cabin offers I book? It seems to be letting me book another… (I didn’t get another offer email (or it was eaten by spam))
Taters Posted February 14, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2022 I've done B2B casino deals. It is no problem to book as many as you'd like!
DaveOKC Posted February 14, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2022 I met I lady on our Dec cruise who was on her 8th consective casino free cabin cruise. She said she was shocked that they let her do this, but happy that they did.
hbsurfcitycruiser Posted February 14, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2022 No limits. I booked three. Sailed one and two more to go. Enjoy!!!
blueexpedition29 Posted February 14, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2022 I have only received Casino offers via email and booked them by calling HAL directly. Do these show up in your account when you log in? When i log in , i do see "private fares" for some sailings; but, nothing about Casino Offers. THX for any insights! We never receive emails of casino offers. However when logged into our account we see the "private fare" prices most of which are $200pp. We have tried to correct this through multiple HAL sources to no avail. We also have booked several at one time in the past. Leaving on one this week.

You do have to put up $200 pp to get the deal, but you get it back in OBC. I think they do this so that people have "skin in the game" and not just book and cancel later (casino offers are immediate payment and nonrefundable). Its strange I iknow, but I can see why they have to do it this way.
rodndonna Posted February 14, 2022 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2022 This is our limited experience on the Casino "offers" and Casino "Private rates" We have sailed once with HAL in December and played the Casino (not big players). On return, we received an emailed "Casino offer" offering Free rooms for Alaska 2022 sailings (had attached pdf file with the available sailings and required booking Code) We could also see the same sailings offered on-line for us as discounted (not free) "Private rate" prices. A week or so ago, other Casino players received an additional offer of Free rooms on additional sailings in the Caribbean and Europe. This time - we didn't received an emailed offer of "Free" rooms, but have those cruises now showing as discounted "Private Fare", typically $200 or $250. We booked an Alaska "free' cruise, and not sure if we were not offered the 'free" rooms for Caribbean and Europe because of that, or because we are not big enough players (which I believe is the case)
blueexpedition29 Posted February 14, 2022 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2022 the confusing thing - i think - is that if you proceed with a booking of the "private fare" there is no indication of the Free Play and Free drinks offer that usually applies to true Casion Offers. Has anybody booked these on line and received the free play and drinks? PS - in my experience, i am sometimes offered a "free" room; but, to book it, i had to pay a $200 nonrefundable deposit which was then refunded on board as OBC, making the room "free" . that is the skin in the game referred above so you dont just book and cancel. I don't think the "Private Rate" is the quite the same as the "free" Casino offer and does not include the freeplay or drinks in the Casino. blueexpedition29 Posted February 14, 2022 #13 Share Posted February 14, 2022 rodndonna - i think i agree based on what im seeing! I think it is just coincidental that $200 comes into play!. That said, there are some amazing deals showing. For example : there is a 14 day Singapore to Singapre Sailing for $200 inside cabin or obstructed OV. They are just part of your normal search if you are logged in so it has your mariner number. Try to search for an Alaska 7 day cruise for this year, and if you have any, you will see them for sure then.

When I called yesterday with this question, the fellow dug around and said "yes, here it is, $50 casino credit, 200/pp shipboard credit and free drinks in casino" - but if I had not asked him about it and asked him to look again we never would have known.

This is all true. And when I sailed in Nov on the Koningsdam I had to go to the casino and speak to an employee and they taught me how to access the credit and then they give you a little white business card that you set out as you gamble so the cocktail servers know you are entitled to free drinks. None of this was ever explained to me and nothing was left for me in my stateroom. PS - Bring singles to tip the cocktail servers and you will never have an empty drink while gambling 🙂
blueexpedition29 Posted February 14, 2022 #19 Share Posted February 14, 2022 According to HAL Rep and my interpretation : if you see a "$200 Private Fare" when logged into your account, it means that there is a Casino Offer available for that cruise; however, two important facts : - you cannot book true casino fares on line ( if you try, you will get a message to call HAL) - even though you see the fare, you MAY NOT be eligible for it. The only way to know is to call, (although in theory you would have received notification of the offer via email ). Hope that helps

DinkyDee67 Posted February 15, 2022 #22 Share Posted February 15, 2022 Have any Australian Mariners been offered these Private Fares or casino offers? We have never received the offer emails or seen the Private Fares when logged in. The only reductions we have seen were between $50 and $250 pp per cruise, but I suspect that everyone sees these. The $200 OBC pp did show up while booking the reservation. Lately the $OBC has not been showing while booking online and we have needed to call to book.
