Cowala Posted February 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2022 We are planning our late May trip to Alaska, with a stop in Skagway. We wanted to do the glacier helicopter + dogsledding tour out of Skagway and have the option of either 7:45am departure or 12:45pm departure. For those of you who have been there and familiar, do you recommend the morning one or afternoon one? Some have said it's clearer in the afternoon after the sun comes out, but others have said it's better to book morning in case it gets cancelled you have the PM session option as a back up. What have you heard in terms of higher percentage of cancellation? For reference, it's the 4 of us (2 adults + 2 kids 10.5 and 8 YOs). Thank you! Rare Crew News Posted February 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2022 Allowing the early morning mist to burn off would be a better guarantee of your excursion not being cancelled. This was my favorite Alaska excursion. More photos: Skagway Dog Sledding Photos
