cruisinbuddy Posted February 23, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2006 For us, the southern Caribbean was the best as far as sun & beaches. We did eastern in '03. Canaveral was cold, embarkation port, Key west, I forced myself to wear shorts for shopping, 2 days at sea, we couldn't get to GC, very windy & cool. Cozumel nice but not hot. Castawy Cay, Bahamas, Disney's Island, not hot but nice. But I'm not blaming the line like some people do. 1st 2 cruises were southern, get off the plane & start sweating, yeah baby. So we're doing a different eastern in '07 but for our 25th anniv. in '09 we're going southern again.
caribbean dreams Posted February 25, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2006 Eastern Caribbean has fantastic sunny beaches and ports like Auba & Barbados are below the hurricane belt so you can cruise any time of the year.
