khuselid Posted February 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2022 Hey all, Not sure if this is a good place to ask this question. We are cruising March 19-April 14 Miami to Venice. Wondering what we can expect for weather on this crossing? It's a first for us, although we have done the Spain, Greece etc before, just haven't done a southern crossing before! Thanks, Kim

Thanks, Kim -1,5 to 2 F decrease per day starting at Miami Expect 85 in miami and 60-65 in venice with rain once past the Azores to me intermittent every few days with windy days. likely You will be heading into the current with more roll as you pass Azores. Likewise returning to Miami it will be a following sea and a good ride. I suggest a cabin on Starboard side, as it is more wind sheltered The reverse is true Venice to Miami Be on Port. and it will + 1.5-2 F daily Edited February 24, 2022 by Hawaiidan

Too a publication Sailing Routes of the World... gives even more. Us "squids" remember stuff.

Thanks, gary it means unsettled weather between the Azores as you get closer to the continents Same happens in the US coast and Australia... look up advection .
