koolforkatz Posted February 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2022 Hi there - we're considering booking one of the 2024 voyages but are new to Oceania. Does anyone have a general idea what the deposit would be for one of these voyages, i.e. for 79 days? Either an amount or percentage? Many thanks :)
Rare mauibabes Posted February 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2022 I believe they open for booking on March 2. In the past when we booked a GV, the deposit was $1500 USD pp. since these are even longer, they could be more but your TA should be able to tell you for sure. We are sailing next week on Marina and will be talking to the O Club Ambassador about the GV’s and exploring options and pursuing the On Board Discounts and reduced Deposit. The itineraries do look amazing. Enjoy, the cruise will be wonderful. Mauibabes

Multi-segment (“extended journey” or “custom cruise”) cruises with two segments are double that = $1500 per person. “Grand Voyages” (3+ segments) may require more. FWIW: “book onboard” has varying reduced deposits starting at $250 pp (also dependent on cabin). Whatever OP does, I advise using a good TA who will share commissions. A 5-10% rebate on these commissionable fares will be a “chunk of change.”
koolforkatz Posted February 24, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted February 24, 2022 Thank you both. The deposits are reasonable then. I thought they would be much more. And yes, my TA usually shares about 8-9% so that will definitely help!
Robjame Posted February 24, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2022 I notice you are in BC. If you are paying in Canadian the deposit is $2000 CAD rather than $1500 per segment. 1
