UK passports show 6 months extension after renewal....how to complete API

Now that UK passports are valid for 10years precisely, even tho they still show any extension period (after renewal a while ago

). So what expiry date do I use on the Advance Passenger Information form please, the expiry date shown on the passport or the precise10 year date which doesn't show on the passport? Thanx

UK passport expiry dates have not changed, they expire on the date printed on them and that is the date to use on API forms.

 

It's just the the Schengen Area countries (nothing changed in other countries) that no longer accept the extension period for entry to their countries since Brexit, this does not change the passport expiry date.

 

For example your passport is still valid until the expiry date printed on it when entering the USA.
