Is the gym open on embarkation day?

I'll be on the Freedom next week. Is the gym likely to be open on embarkation day? If so, when and would it be crowded? 

 

I'd love to get some strength training in before we set sail, like while waiting for cabins to open. Usually by day 2 my gym motivation is much lower!

Yes, we recently went to the gym for a stretch class on embarkation day, but it wasn't until around 4 pm.  They were giving tours of the gym/spa earlier in the day, so I'm not sure if it was open all day.  But definitely in the late afternoon/evening.

That's usually when I workout. I have good intentions of working out every day like my husband, but boarding day is usually all I do.

On Carnival Radiance the fitness center was 5-8pm embarkation day. The spa tours last one was 4:15pm so perhaps that is why, Although we did a tour earlier in afternoon and saw no sign it was not open. At drawing for spa raffle in fitness area at 5:10pm  there were a handful working out.
