Using sign and sale card to access cash for casino play

It's been a few years since I last cruised so wanted to check and make sure that I can still use sign and sail card

to get cash withdrawal for casino play.  I hate having to travel with cash.  So much easier to just put it on my credit card.  Also is there a daily limit.

I will be on Carnival

You may use your Sail and Sign card to access funds for the casino. If you want to charge to your room for credits for slot machines, there is no fee (you insert your card into the machine and download credits to the machine via room charge). If you want chips to use at table games, there is a 3% fee.

The daily limit is $5,000 per day, unless you are on a specialty casino cruise.

This information and additional casino FAQs can be found on Carnival's website, here: https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1146/~/casino-and-carnival-players-club

That's kind of weird. Any particular reason why you can't just just bill it to the room via slots, cash out, and walk to a table?

Princess and HAL (both under Carnival Corp) don't have a surcharge for billing to the room from a table.

You can get away with that to a point, but if you make a habit of cashing out large amounts with little to no play on the machine, they'll get wise to what you're doing.

Better to just bring cash or traveler's checks, or set up a line of credit in advance with the casino.
