Quick report, Rotterdam. Doing B2B, last week and now again. Staffing is solid. Food is solid as well. MDR quality what we expect. Speciality yes as well. Pinnacle is a favorite after 2 dinners. Other speciality restaurants are solid and worth the time.

Music venues are new and surprisingly Great. Overall the only issues the girls have had is what to wear to dinner. Have not been on a HAL ship since 2004 when we swore off HAL. The new HAL class ships will make us thing of booking them once more. The nightly entertainment is different than in the past. The main hall does not carry the way. It is the small music venues that make this an intimate place to sit with a drink ands your significant other and while away the time.

Overall we give it a solid 8 out of 10. Maybe 9. Cannot say enough how pleased we are with HAL.

I'm in a rush since we had the day at their island. Rotterdam is on the move and I'll sign off for a shower and a meal. Later,,,

We just returned yesterday from one week on the Rotterdam. We were told the ship was sold out and things did get a little crowded at times in various venues. Lot of people without masks even though the Captain in his daily Voice from the Bridge reccomended masks. Every crewmember was always masked.

Very good cruise, good food and service especially the service in the Lido, those people were spot on with everything.

Enjoyed coffee in the Dutch Cafe, nice addition, hopefully they can find room in the smaller ships and add the Cafe.

Mixed feelings on the Rotterdam, no rhyme or reason to the decor, seemed like things clashed, cabin bathrooms are smaller than other HAL ships but the shower was good sized. I like the Signature class ships like the Eurodam better especially since they have the traditional promenade deck with the steamer chairs.

Showroom had 4 nights with the dancers, one was enough. It's time to mothball Planet Earth. 2 good comedians one night. Kim the cruise director did a great job with the history of Holland America presentation, very interesting. The Lincoln Center group was outstanding and received well deserved standing ovations every night they were on. The 2 entertainers in Billboard Onboard were good with the piano but weren't very good singers. Missed the Rolling Stone Rock band but BB Kings was great as usual.

We booked while onboard for Dec 4th on Nieuw Amsterdam but first we sail on the Celebrity Equinox in June.

Any questions, feel free to ask.
