The Culture Ministry has announced that Italy will resume its free opening of state museums and archaeological sites on the first Sunday of the month, starting on April 3, 2022. This is fantastic as a tourist. Long lines to be expected but you simply show up and get free ticket from ticket office for literally hundreds of free museums, palaces, gardens and state owned attractions all over Italy.
