Freckles1983 Posted April 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2022 My husband and I are booked on an 18 day alaska / Yukon / triple Denali cruise on the nieuw amsterdam departing Vancouver on June 5 2022. for anyone who has done this itinerary or something similar how did you pack? I’m not so concerned about what to pack but just how was it dispersed into the different bags you’re supposed to bring? I’m kind of confused about how many bags we should be bringing and what to pack in each bag for the land portion vs the sea portion. Any advice would be gladly accepted ❤️ I have read the holland America pdf on alaska travel tips but I didn’t find it that helpful in breaking things down. Thanks for any suggestions! **also posted in Alaska forum
Rare Mary229 Posted April 2, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) You are allowed one suitcase per passenger that will be delivered to your hotel at every location. You will not have casual access to that suitcase while in transit. You are allowed a small carry-all, not a roller carry on, a backpack or similar item that would be stashed at your train/bus seat. This would have items you need during the daytime and valuable and essentials. That would be snacks, phone, camera, umbrella, jackets, gloves, medicine, any valuables like your passport. Then there is that third suitcase if you want it which will be only available on the ship. Edited April 2, 2022 by Mary229
