Solver Dawn Suite Advice

We are about to make a booking, Transatlantic on the Dawn, but have some questions regarding suite choice. Some years ago on a Transatlantic on the Shadow we were in Silver Suite 729 below the Pool deck and were bothered by the noise from the Pool Deck the whole trip and subsequently in the Owners Suite on the Whisper we had the same problem. We are looking at the Owners Suite on the Dawn but do not want to repeat the problem especially in the early hours when the deck hands are cleaning and moving lounge chairs?

Since it is possible that the Newer Ships have more sound proofing could Wes or someone on board or who has been on board advise us if it is still a problem in the suites below the Pool Deck ?

We are also looking at S.S.930 near the elevators. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - we are currently on (a very rainy) Silver Dawn.

Due to the cold & rainy weather this week the pool deck is unlikely to be heavily used, so bear this in mind if you receive any feedback from the occupants of Deck 9 suites. (although the chairs etc on Deck 10 are still laid out and removed most days, irrespective of use).

Having said this our own personal preference is to avoid suites below the pool deck, irrespective of the age if the ship.

We are in a Silver Suite on Deck 10.
Having been in several larger suites on Silversea/Seabourn/Regent we’d probably rate this Silver Suite as our favourite suite of all. Spacious, light & airy, well fitted out - it meets our needs perfectly.
And Deck 10 is ideal as the only traffic along the corridor - apart from a smaller number of other Silver Suite guests - is occupants of the bridge.

(I bumped into the Captain yesterday who showed great interest in our malfunctioning suite door - taking a picture of it and arranging for it to be fixed PDQ ! 😀).

This is also the first time we have been on one of the new class of Silversea Ships. Silver Dawn is superb IMHO.

Enjoy - whichever you choose.
