Heathrow to Southampton Transportation

Recommended Posts

From past experience, understandably not in the past few years, taking the National Express bus from Heathrow to Southampton was extremely convenient, at least from T5.  Walk across the street to the parking garage. board the bus and get off at the bus station in Southampton.  No stairs or ramps with the luggage.

Then a short cab to a hotel, or walk to the closest.

You cannot do this on boarding day.

Thanks for all tjhe great information and stories. My wife and I were in London in 2009 for two weeks visiting our niece and her husband. They now live near us here in WA State. We do plan on a day or two in London and a day or two in Southampton before our October 2023 transatlantic

Jim.

 Hey Jim,

Just as a side note, I'm a former Bothell resident.  Lived above Kenmore at the end of the lake.

Brother still lives there, mother lives in Ballard. I remember watching the boat races on the Sammamish Slough back in the day.  Small world.

Indeed it is. We moved here in 1975 (Jan.) from New Jersey. My Grandmother lived in Miami Beach for about 20 years in the 1960s and 1970s. My parents lived in Ft. Lauderdale from 1969 to 2000. If you cruise from Port Everglades, you pass their condo. It is the last high rise on the port side as your ship exits into the Atlantic.

Two comments:-

1) Look at aquacars.co.uk

2) Read/post on the ‘Britain’ site under ‘Ports of Call’.

The expert there is ‘John Bull’. JB is a font of knowledge on the subject.

Good luck. Cheers!
