Carnival Splendor 2022 re-start

I’ve tried looking for this info elsewhere and on here and haven’t found it…

 

The cruise director for the Carnival Splendor posted a welcome back video mentioning sailing past Dubai and around Asia en route to Alaska.  The video had the crew all together with welcome back signs but there was no sign of passengers.  He also said the Splendor is the last Carnival ship to get back online.  I’m on the May 2nd sailing out of Seattle.

 

Is this the first Splendor sailing?  Is there anyone going before?

Hey there! Yes, we are the first sailing, as the ship was headed back from Australia  with only crew and officers they had picked up along the way.
