LizaMM Posted February 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Here's wishing you a wonderful cruise!! Personally, I think that a cruise id the VERY BEST vacation for a single traveler!! When I cruise solo - I always request a late dinner seating at a large table. - I have fun with the crew but am aware that they are doing the same. - I book ship sponsored shore excursions - I am friendly and talk to anyone, have hung out with singles, married couples, younger people, older people, etc. - Check out a Cruise Critic Roll Call Thread - Make sure to do WHAT I want WHEN I want to :D Cruising solo is ownderful! You should have a great vacation!!
Island Annie Posted March 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2006 Remember that the key to a "Fun" cruise is "Participation". Participate in as many onboard activities as you possibly can. It's a great way to meet new people, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Annie
snowbird1 Posted March 18, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 18, 2006 I think LizMM has summed it up very well. Hopefully there are other singles already posting on the CC board for that sailing. I have actually been on that ship as a single. The only thing I would add and Liz touched on this is the crew. Just remember that the officiers and other crew members are out having fun each and every week with a new group of passengers and usually it is the women. So go and have fun and remember the crew can sometimes be very friendly. Frequently I notice that on formal nights the officiers and crew (one allowed to mingle with pass) are out in the Disco and places like that. Have a great trip. Going single can really be fun and I have my next one planned already as well.
