Specialty Dining pkg and App reservations

We have a 6 night dining package. Last time we sailed, the only way to reserve the nights was by physically going to a restaurant on embarkation day to schedule them.  Does anyone know if we can now do that on the app once onboard?  Looks like that’s a possibility but wondered what the real-life experience was. Maybe it’s easier to chat with a person if the app happens to glitchy. Please share your experiences. Thank you
