KatieCruser Posted April 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2022 Looking to book a 4 day Bahamas cruise on the Sky for July. A mini honeymoon. Today is 92 days out. The price right now is $549 for non sail-away balcony. This seems decent to me. Do prices usually drop after the 90 day (final payment) mark? Will it make any difference if I wait a week or so to book. Do I run the risk of the price increasing if I wait? Any Sky tips? We did our very first cruise on the Joy in January and now we are obsessed!
trivimp Posted April 17, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2022 Final payment is now 120 days, so your cruise has probably already gone through one round of drops. It will likely drop further, but risks selling out your preferred cabin category. If it seems like a good price now, go ahead & book, and don't sweat it any more. Bon voyage!

MoCruiseFan Posted April 17, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2022 trivimp is 100% spot on. When the cabin you want is being offered at a price you are willing to pay, go for it. Then go on your cruise and have a blast. No matter when you book or what you pay, chances are that at least one person paid more than you did and at least one person paid less than you did.
Rare Sailing12Away Posted April 17, 2022 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2022 Based on the graph below it looks like prices have already taken a good steep dive down for the non-suite cabins. If you have your heart on a particular location and you're ok with the price, I would hop on now. If you want to stretch for an even bigger (potentially) discount and don't care about the slim pickings, then wait it out a bit more.
pghflyer Posted April 17, 2022 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2022 Yes. If you are flexible on your room and don't mind risking a rare sell-out, most times better deals later....especially in this market.
